Raymond Bueno, CIT
Therapist in St. Louis, MO
Clinical Specialties:

Hi, I’m Raymond! I’m a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) at Marble Wellness.
My Education and Professional Background
I earned my bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Mt. Angel Seminary in St. Benedict, Oregon, and went on to complete a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University in Sterling, Virginia. I am currently working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My years of counseling experience began in Las Vegas, where I supported clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. I later continued my work in the Los Angeles area, where I expanded my experience working with trauma, couples, and individuals seeking to strengthen communication and social skills. These experiences continue to shape how I show up for clients—with curiosity, respect, and a steady, supportive presence.
How I Like to Work in Therapy
I work with adults, young adults, and teenagers, and I enjoy working with both individuals and couples. I’m especially drawn to the way each person’s unique life experiences shape the therapy process. For many young adults and teens, this is a season filled with big questions about identity, relationships, and purpose—and I value creating a space where that exploration feels safe and meaningful. In our work together, I approach therapy from the perspective that you are the expert on your own life, and I am a guest walking alongside you. I integrate approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples to help you build insight, connection, and practical tools for change.
I am a Certified Field Traumatologist and Level I trained in EMDR, which allows me to support clients in processing trauma in a structured, evidence-based way.
What I Enjoy Most About Therapy
What I value most about being a therapist is the opportunity to walk with clients through some of the most meaningful and vulnerable parts of their lives. It’s a privilege to witness growth and transformation—to see someone move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed toward a greater sense of clarity, integration, and even flourishing. That process is what makes this work deeply meaningful to me.

Fun Fact
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading and writing, especially in areas like psychology, philosophy, theology, and personal growth. I also enjoy hiking, going to the gym, horseback riding, and cooking for family and friends. I have a strong interest in languages and culture, and I’m always curious about how language shapes the way we understand the world. One of my bucket list goals is to travel to Thailand and Korea.
If you’re looking for a therapist in the St. Louis area who will meet you with curiosity, respect, and a steady presence, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
