Hi, I’m Angela! I am a provisionally licensed therapist at Marble Wellness.

My Education and Professional Background

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri, where I studied human development and family studies with an emphasis on psychology. My graduate degree is from Missouri Baptist University.

Prior to launching my career in counseling, I worked as an on-air radio personality and executive producer for morning radio programs, and then as a middle school drama teacher. Both of these prior careers have shaped the way I interact with and relate to individuals in our therapy sessions. I have been with Marble Wellness for the entirety of my career as a therapist.

How I Like to Work in Therapy

Life can be overwhelming, hopeless, frustrating, unnerving, or downright unbearable. As your therapist, I want to walk alongside you to figure out this messiness that is life. I want to give you space to explore those questions you’ve been wondering about and a place to feel like there is someone who can see and understand you.

If you struggle with anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, anger, rage, loneliness, bullying, fear, hurt, isolation, self-esteem issues, lack of confidence, or worthiness, I can help you.

By coming to therapy with me, we will find the unique parts of you and build on those to help you start feeling better. Together, we can strategize and look for solutions…the kind that actually work for you, that fit your style and pace.

In the therapy room, we may use creative strategies to explore or problem-solve. Maybe that’s utilizing music; playing in a sand tray; or using a game. Other times, the intervention may be about looking at what is going on inside of you—the memories that get triggered; the automatic thoughts that aren’t kind to you; or that critical inner voice that just won’t let up—and finding new ways to engage in those personal stories, habitual thoughts, and inner voice. Whatever the technique, we will work together to discover what you (or your child) need to heal and move forward.

When you leave therapy with me, you will feel like you have a better understanding of yourself, a greater toolkit for things that come up in the future, and a generally happier and more hopeful outlook on your day-to-day life.

Fun Fact

I am a huge fan of Cardinals baseball and find great peace in Busch Stadium. I also take pride in the Arch, and even after living much of my life in St. Louis, I still get excited each time I spot it. I see therapy as moving through something similar – going to the other side – and how the Arch represents that.
