  • Relationships
  • Burnout

Hi, I’m Imanii! I am a licensed therapist at Marble Wellness.

My Education and Professional Background

I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in December of 2022, I immediately started my graduate program in January and obtained my Master’s in Social Work on the Advanced Clinical Practice Track in the Summer of 2023.

I have private practice experience, working with women who present with anxiety, depression, and life stressors. I have also been a mentor in a variety of settings since high school, working with adolescents on self-esteem, social skills, and other mental health concerns.

Having witnessed the power of introspection, awareness, and openness in successful therapy, I’m excited to apply these transformative tools in working with men and couples.

The journey to emotional well-being is unique for everyone, and I’m dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for individuals and couples alike.

Continuing to work with women remains a heartfelt aspect of my practice, and I’m enthusiastic about the growth and learning that each therapeutic connection brings. Here’s to the next chapter of growth, understanding, and connection!

I am currently working under the supervision of Stacy McCann, LCSW (License No: 2013033734).

How I Like to Work in Therapy

As a licensed social worker who specializes in maternal mental health, burnout, and relationships, I always begin by prioritizing a comfortable space and connection. This means warmth, and ease, and no judgment!

To me, therapy is an artistic process where, in the end, you can reflect on the masterpiece you’ve made.

I view therapy as the canvas of the mind where I will help navigate brush strokes to create something my client can look back on and be proud of. As a therapist, I pride myself on being authentic, which allows me to build more rapport and connection with my clients. Hence, engaging in meaningful and authentic conversations with clients allows for exploring diverse perspectives. This deepens my understanding and encourages clients to consider alternative viewpoints, leading to increased self-awareness and a more nuanced understanding of their experiences.

The privilege of being a part of such a transformative process and supporting individuals on their paths to healthy well-being is a constant source of joy and fulfillment in my role of being a therapist.

Fun Fact

I have an extensive perfume collection. One of my favorite songs to listen to in the gym is Another One Bites the Dust by Queen. A bucket list item of mine is to travel to Nigeria and Belize (where my parents are from).
